Who we are

FORGE is a web design and development agency operating as a sole trader under the trading name Forge Build, registered in England and Wales. Our website is forge-build.co.uk.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean FORGE. "You" means the person or business using our services.

These terms

These terms apply whenever you create an account, use the FORGE starter kit, subscribe to a plan or buy tokens. By doing any of those, you agree to them.

Enterprise and forward-deployed engineering work is agreed in a separate written contract. Where that contract says something different from these terms, the contract wins.

Our plans

Free. You use the FORGE starter kit to build your own site. There is no monthly charge. You buy tokens when you need them.

Subscription. A monthly plan. We build your website at no separate build fee, and your plan credits a set number of tokens to your account each month. The tiers, prices and allowances are those shown when you subscribe.

Enterprise and forward-deployed engineering. Dedicated platforms, heavy bespoke work, and engineers embedded with your team. These are scoped and priced individually under a separate contract.

Tokens

Tokens are the credits that pay for AI work on FORGE: generating pages, edits, content and anything else the platform builds for you.

• Tokens expire 12 months after they reach your account. For a token pack, that is the purchase date. For a subscription, each month's allowance has its own 12-month life from the day it is credited.
• Unused subscription tokens roll over from month to month until they expire.
• We use your oldest tokens first, so the ones closest to expiry are spent before newer ones.
• Tokens cannot be extended, transferred or sold to another person or account.
• Tokens are non-refundable once they are in your account, except where the law gives you a right to a refund.
• Tokens end when your account closes and cannot be recovered afterwards.
• Tokens have no cash value and can only be used on FORGE.

Why our tokens work this way

Every token you buy is backed by AI capacity we buy from our model providers. That capacity expires 12 months after we buy it, it is non-refundable and it cannot be transferred. Our token terms mirror those supply terms on purpose, so we never sell you something that outlives what stands behind it.

If a supplier changes its terms, we may change ours to match. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the change applies only to tokens bought or credited after it takes effect. Tokens already in your account keep the terms they were issued under.

Payment and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, in pounds sterling, to the payment method on your account. Token packs are paid for at the time of purchase.

If a payment fails, we will let you know and try again. If it still cannot be taken, we may pause the paid features of your plan until it is settled. Tokens already in your account are not affected.

We may change our prices. We will give subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to them.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are buying as a consumer rather than a business, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content or services. When you ask us to start straight away, by spending tokens or asking us to begin building, you agree that this right ends once the work or the digital content has been supplied.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Your website and content

Content you give us, such as text, images, logos and brand material, stays yours. You give us permission to use it to build and run your site.

The FORGE platform, design canon, components and underlying code remain ours. You may use them as part of your site for as long as your account is active.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you give us to publish.

Acceptable use

You must not use FORGE to publish anything unlawful, misleading, harmful or infringing, to send spam, or to try to break, overload or get around the platform's limits. We may suspend an account that does.

Our liability

We take care to build things that work, but we cannot promise the service will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.

For business customers, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue or data, or for indirect losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your account

You can cancel a subscription at any time. It ends at the close of your current billing period, and you are not charged again. Tokens remaining in an open account stay usable until they expire.

If you close your account entirely, any remaining tokens end with it.

We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close an account for any other reason, we will refund unused tokens you paid for.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. For a change that materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
